Do I need to be flexible to practice yoga?

Forget the pictures from the books where one is twisted into a pretzel shape! You don’t need to be flexible or fit in order to start practicing yoga. Yoga is very adaptable kind of exercise and can be adjusted to various levels of flexibility.

Can I practice yoga after an accident?

At first you should consult your condition with your physician and if recommended you can start with Hatha yoga for beginners. It is advisable to inform your yoga teacher about the accident. The most important thing though is to always listen to your own body and never go over your physical abilities.

What to wear and to take to a yoga class?

Wear comfortable clothing. No special shoes are needed as yoga is practiced barefoot. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, otherwise you can use a bigger towel. Have a look at our wide range of clothing and yoga tools at our yoga shop.

How often should I practice yoga?

It is ideal to practice yoga on daily basis, but unfortunately not many of us can afford this “luxury”. Therefore I recommend at least one class of 90 minutes per week.

Is Hatha yoga advisable while trying to become pregnant?

If you are trying to become pregnant yoga practice can be very beneficial as the pelvis muscles and inner organs get involved. Yoga is a body and mind exercise and its practice has a result of complete relaxation.

Před půl rokem mně začala ochrnovat levá ruka, musela jsem se podrobit operaci úžinového syndromu /karpální tunel/. Po operaci došlo postupně ke zkrácení šlachy ohýbače posledního článku palce, takže jsem mohla palec narovnat jen za cenu bolestivého lupnutí v kloubu. Během cvičení jógy došlo k pozvolnému protažení zkrácené šlachy. Takže po 2 měsících je ruka opět zcela funkční. Pokračovat
